Series Description
Race in some of the most iconic Formula 1 cars from the history of the sport, with no assists these cars were quite a handful, and gave way to a stunning season of racing between Lauda and Hunt in one of the most exciting seasons of racing ever seen! Drivers with a Safety ranking of 3 or higher may enter this series.
This series will be run on Forza Motorsport 5 on the Xbox One.
Regulations
Technical Regulations
- All competitors will run the 1976 Ferrari 312T2 or the 1976 McLaren M23.
- Tuning is allowed for this series and is encouraged, however all cars must remain with stock upgrades.
Sporting Regulations
- Teams will be optional, with up to 2 drivers per team.
- Driver number must be displayed on a drivers car.
- Only cockpit view will be allowed.
- TCS, ABS, STM are not allowed.
- Simulation/Normal steering allowed
- Manual w/clutch allowed
- Braking line is forced off
- There will be no full-course caution periods.
- There will be no pace car in use in this series
- There will be no restarts during a race unless lag causes a multi-car accident in the first two laps.
- Each race will begin with a standing start
- There will be a quialifying session at 7PM GMT/3PM EST to determine the grid order before the race. This session will be 10 minutes in length.
- There will be 1 mandatory pit stop per race
Points
Points – Points will be awarded at the end of a race, you will accumulate points towards the driver standings and manufacturer championship dependent upon your finishing position in each race.
Points Awarded
Below are the finishing race positions and corresponding points allocations for the driver.
*1 point will be awarded to the driver who scores the fastest clean lap of the race

2nd. - 24
3rd. - 20
4th. - 17
5th. - 16
6th. - 15
7th. - 14
8th. - 13
9th. - 12
10th. - 11
11th. - 10
12th. - 9
13th. - 8
14th. - 7
15th. - 6
16th. - 5
Cars / Upgrades
The cars for this series are the 1976 Ferrari 312T2 and the 1976 McLaren M23
Upgrade Parts:
All cars in this series must remain stock, with no upgrades. However tuning is allowed.
Do Not Install Any Parts That are Not Listed.
Tuning is allowed for this series and is encouraged.
Paint
Drivers must include their driver number on their paint, other than this the paiint for this series is open to be as simple/complicated as the driver wishes. However, realistic paints for the era are encouraged but are not mandatory. Offensive/graphic images will not be permitted on a paint.
Reporting Of Race Incidents
Reporting Of Race Incidents – All incidents must be reported directly after the race and not during the race. Race incidents will not be discussed during the race and all replays must be saved by the driver making the complaint because if there is a lag which caused the incident then it will not be visible by somebody else’s replay.
The replay/replays will be reviewed by the administrators and a decision will be made as to whether or not anyone is to blame and if a penalty should be given to any or both drivers.
