Just realized I don't even have the DLC for the car. So I'll probably not be taking place in this race.

Just making sure, this race is happening the day after the 50 laps of Formula E Long Beach (East) race?

Correct. A rare Sunday race for us due to the tie for 3rd place in voting between this and Formula E.

A very innovative and rare (for many leagues) oval race. Can't wait. I'm going to get that leather (and I think they may have had a co-driver mechanic w/o seat belts of course to fix the damned thing every 10 laps.)
Also, this sad piece of info:
"The race was notable for a three car accident on lap 109, when Floyd Roberts, the reigning champion, was killed when his car went through the wooden outer wall at over 100 miles an hour at the backstretch. With Roberts on lap 109, the car driven by Bob Swanson lost control and went sideways. Roberts' car contacted Swanson's, causing Swanson's car to eject Swanson, flip over, and catch fire, while Roberts' car went through the outer wall."
This was the race that started the four lap qualy format that is with us to this day. That wold be cool if we could average our laps like IRL, but that's probably too much work.
Okay guys, the pole for the actual race was 69.3 seconds. Is Forza5 accurate?

Great, Ill be the only Roberts on the track for Sunday's race. As for the lap times yes they're accurate, well at least as accurate as you can get with forza. I believe that my fastest lap is high a 1:08

As to the most graphic crash of Indy 500 history that I know of, it would have to be the crash that killed one of my favorite drivers, Swede Savage, in 1973.

I ran some practice last night and could do no better than 1:02.7(?). I'm starting to learn the technique required but it is tough to execute using the controller.

After a massive amount of tuning (i.e. tire pressure only), I was only able to manage a 103.703 around here. I'm not sure how to rally drive any faster in this beast at the Brickyard. But I have a feeling that speed will have little to do with this one.

There will be an official practice session on Friday from 4:00pm (eastern) to 9:00pm (eastern). The session will run on 20 minute segments.
