What do you have in mind? GT3 in Assetto is awesome, I think, but obviously there's more..

I'd run some AC races. I'm digging the new update. That 911 RSR is nice too.

I agree with the GT3s. They have a really good selection. I'm loving the 911 RSR. I'd be open to anything honestly.

Maybe we can do a trial (practice, qualifying, race) GT3 session to test out the server. 20 minutes practice, 10 minute qualifying, 30 minutes racing, total 60 minutes.

I think Saturday afternoon would be best. How about 2~5pm window, Eastern time, this weekend, 07/29 or 30? We've got to consider the Dutch.

If the trial is a success (no one drops out, good frame rates, good collision detection, etc.) then I can propose a series to the other admins.

I was trying to avoid any conflict with GSR scheduled races. IROC is at 12pm Eastern so 3pm for AC trial would be OK.

Let's see if there are others who can join.

I'm not sure if sunday is going to work for me, but if it does I'd be in. I would like to run some AC if it goes into a series though.

Well guys, I though I'd be able to swing it today, but the wife has decided to task me with some projects. I'm in for the next test race or series.

Outcome of the trial session = Success.

1. We did have several random people join, only to quit early. I thought I had INVITE ONLY option on . . . ?!?
2. Even with the random people, joining in was easy. Lifer & Basher both joined while I was out on track.
3. I only saw framerate slow down when my car was on the gravel. On track experience was smooth.
4. Party chat was fine.
5. Collision detection was good although not thoroughly tested. Had some light rubbing against a Lambo.
6. The session periods (practice, qualifying, race) are pre-set during the lobby creation and cannot be changed once started. I created the lobby with 20 minutes, 10 minutes, and 10 laps with 30 second standby. The time goes by quick. I like the fact that anyone can join in at anytime + race start time CANNOT be changed; either one joins the race on time or misses.

Both Basher & Lifer were quick! I could not keep up with them, especially after a spin+crash.

I plan on arranging few non-official races in August using assortment of cars + tracks. Not sure at this point if there will be enough interest in AC after. Fall activities will be a bit frantic with PCARS and FM7 launching within 2 wks.

That's great news. I'm looking forward to a few races to hold us over until PCars2 this fall. You guys send me an invite if you see me on and are just running some random practice or races as well.

I thought it worked pretty well. It is definitely a game I can't just jump on and rip at though. Mistakes are punished.

You certainly cannot casually drive over the corners as the car loses traction while it's getting settled!

I am going to host another trial lobby (invite only this time) on Sunday afternoon at 3pm Eastern, for about an hour including 30~40 minutes of racing.

Track = Zanvoort, Ford Escort Mk I (not fast, but fun to drive)

No one on line last Sunday; I guess people are busy doing summer stuff!

The Ford Escort is a fun vintage car to drive/race. The engine revs so high and the huge tires have awesome traction.

This may not be the right place for this, but since AC is the only place I've ever heard of this car before. There's a pair of Pragas ripping around Watkins Glen today. Those things are nuts. They keep blowing past 458 challenge cars like it's nothing. I haven't ever played that car before, but this has my interest peaked. Also, as of yesterday the game was broken again. So maybe I won't be playing that car soon, actually.
