It was a busy weekend in the world of Global Sim Racing. First up the 4th round of the Global Sim Racing Endurance Championship on Saturday, then Sunday held host to Round 2 of the NASCAR Cup.
The weather gods were shining on the grid Saturday afternoon at Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps. We started dry and stayed drive through the entire event. A lot of familiar teams, and new drivers participated in this round. Stint 1 was relatively stable as the field got into a rhythm. Stint 2 was a little more adventurous as the sun set with multiple incidents involving both the GT Class as well as P1.
With the night came fatigue. Multiple teams double, and some even triple stinting. Members of the top 3 of both classes mixed it up and changed positions frequently. In the end though, MBI took it for the GT class and Kay Motorsports took it for P1. Check the series results to see where we’re sitting.

Sunday we take the action to Homestead in Miami for Round 2 of
NASCAR Cup. This may be the shortest write-up for a GSR race, as
the race itself may be one for the record books. Homestead,
although short, is wide, creating a relative clean race throughout.
We have nothing from the highlight reel even. The drivers completed
all 50 laps without going under a single yellow. It was a fun race
with close racing during the entire event with multiple groups of
cars battling out. Nightmare took it home in first, Blood got
second, and Willy finished 3rd. His best showing in years. Check
the
series page for updated results.

67 East of TorontoMile and a half long, Homestead oval,
50 laps clean, fight for survival.
No yellow caution, is GSR milestone,
Nightmare typical, this track too he did own.
Thought I was catching Nightmare, damaged in some way,
It turned out to be Samson, running on time delay.
Third, second, and first, it's awkward to say,
Willy, Bloody Nightmare, followed by Hippie & BCK.
