We will post a list of on board cameras about an hour before the race starts. Glad so many people are excited to take part and even watch the race today!

Drivers:

If you're planning on streaming your on board camera via Twitch for the race today, PLEASE test it out during the 90 minute warm up session before the race to be sure it doesn't eat up your bandwidth to the point where it's causing lag.

NOTICE:

Macace and Hot Wheels are unable to make the race today. Insayne and Wagon will be taking their spots and will start the race at the back of the field.

All drivers who failed to qualify: be sure to be online and ready to race...there is always a chance someone in the field of 15 may not be able to make the race at the last minute...

I think you have this all wrong Muddigger. What is wrong is that people did the qualifying if they could not make the race. What we, well I, want is a full field made up of people that regularly race on GSR.

Also, most, if not all, qualifying I know of in "real" racing is based on the Driver, not the car. So if one driver qualifies another driver can't just jump in their car for the race. (Please tell me if I'm wrong regarding this, but I think I'm right).

The race tonight is there for our enjoyment, lets not take things too seriously. A massive amount of time and effort has been put in by people to organise this event. Please don't be too quick to criticise.

Yes Macace did make the race, which gives him first right of refusal to compete. It doesn't mean there is an empty spot on the grid if he isn't in it. Since he is unable to make it for one reason or another his position now goes to a reserve driver (Wagon), who will start in 15th position.

I'm very confused as to why you're upset about this, Mud. There is no team championship in this series, so if Macace races or not, it doesn't impact your race one way or another. Under what circumstance in the real world would you see a full time driver from one team fill in for another full time driver and earn DRIVER championship points for him?

As for your comment saying that you're not going to race...well...that's your decision. If you're not there at race time we will know the score. There are 7 guys who busted their asses trying to get into the field that would take your spot in the drop of a hat, so the only one it would have a negative impact on would be yourself. It's up to you

In the real world, relief drivers can qualify for another driver to put them in the field. However, points go to the relief driver and OWNERS points, not the driver who didn't qualify/race. We're not using owners points, so you can't really earn points for someone else.

Just want to point out that conscientious objector means refusal on moral or religious grounds to bear arms in a military conflict or to serve in the armed forces. And Muddigger is in the Navy soooooo that isn't him..... lol
